My Self Publishing Journey Starts Here πŸ“–

πŸ“–πŸŽΆ PRE-ORDER MUSICAL AWAKENING HERE! πŸ“–πŸŽΆ

I just finished, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, and it completely inspired me to go back to one of my old manuscripts.

100 Cups of Coffee is done and I’m feeling pulled back into a project I started in late 2014: Musical Awakening

I stopped working on it in 2015 when 100 Cups of Coffee took over and honestly, that made it really easy to walk away.

But this past week I opened it again and…
I don’t hate it. LOL.

And like Elizabeth Gilbert says:

"Done is better than good."

So that’s the plan, finish it. My goal is two weeks. To re-read, re-edit and add to it.

Because let’s be real:
a lot of people start things…
very few actually finish them.

So I’m finishing this one and self publishing it. Click here to read a sneak peak!

After all that and a LOT of training we are finally all getting our footing. When I look back we didn't need too much, just each other. Here are the things that I really helped get us through and that Molly loves and still use today.

And then a month later… another call.
Another baby! πŸ’™

And just like that, my life started expanding in a way that had my heart bursting with love.

Running Through Change, Part 1 πŸƒπŸ»‍♀️

πŸ‘‰ New here? Start here → 100cupsofcoffee

No one tells you what to do
during a hard chapter. When you're left with yourself and everything you just went through.

Through my divorce, is where I found running. As a way to slowly find my way back to myself and redistribute the pain from my heart down through my legs and out of my mind.

If you’re coming out of a hard season and trying to feel like yourself again… this is for you ☕

Start Small πŸ‘‰πŸΌ  Your Gentle Reset Guide ✌πŸΌπŸ’–☕️

The moment I tuned 30 I felt like something wasn't right in my life.

I thought my marriage was...fine (this song hit hard at the time).

These thoughts crept in slowly happening quietly in my mind.

Over coffee.
Over years.

How My Life Changed After Marrying the Right Person πŸ’–

There’s a version of love I used to believe in.

  • The kind where you just make it work
  • where things are fine
  • where you convince yourself that “this is just what relationships are like”

And then there’s the version of love I live now.

A Realistic Weekday in My Life Raising A Puppy 🐢

This is what a real weekday looks like for my husband and I right now, working from home, raising a puppy, trying to stay consistent with fitness, and figuring out how to spend time together in the middle of it all!

Some days feel smooth
Most feel chaotic πŸ˜‚

Going Back to Comic-Con in My 40s (How I've Changed) ✨

I didn’t expect to come back to an old version of myself.

Not in my 40s.
Not after everything that’s happened.

But here I am,
curled up with Simon, coffee in hand,
fully invested in Fringe like it’s 2008 again!

Beginner Rock Climbing Tips (From Someone Who Was Terrified) πŸ§—πŸ»‍♀️

I was absolutely terrified the first time I tried rock climbing! Not just a little nervous, gripping-the-wall-questioning-my-life-choices terrified. I wouldn't go give feet off the ground.

But then I did. And it turned out to be one of those experiences that quietly changes a person.

How I Bought a House Alone (Even When I Didn’t Think I Could) 🏑 πŸ’°

As a single female I didn't think that I would ever own my own house. I thought renting was the only thing in my future. But when the condo I was renting was being sold, and I couldn't find a new reasonable priced apartment to rent, I thought about buying.

That was June 2022. By the end of July 2022, I was in MY own home! I was lucky it happened so fast. Here's how I made it happen!

The Honeymoon: Day 7, Let's Go Home πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

...And just like that, it was finally time to head home to Denver. With a lot less stuff than we arrived with, but full of more love in our hearts for each other.

The Honeymoon: Day 6, Windsor Castle πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

It was our final day in England, it started off with a bang and ended with a sigh. The relief that we would finally be home was hitting me and I was happy to begin the long trek back home to Denver. But first we had a nice slow start at our Airbnb and then made our way to our final adventure of the trip, Windsor Castle.

The Honeymoon: Day 5, Salisbury πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Salisbury, England has a history dating back over 5,000 years. It is famous for its stunning medieval cathedral, home to the best-preserved original copy of the 1215 Magna Carta, and its proximity to Stonehenge. Visiting, for us, it the perfect spot to be inside history and make our own.

The Honeymoon: Day 4, Stonehenge πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

As we drove out of London, our peace returned. I knew for sure now that we would be able to go home on our scheduled flight, we had all the necessities that were required for the trip and we had each other.

The Honeymoon: Day 4, The Embassy πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Appointment details: Please arrive at the U.S. Embassy in London at 8:00am on Friday, April 25th.  Please ensure that you arrive by the time stated as it is not possible for late arrivals to be admitted.

There was no way we could miss this. Paperwork gripped tightly, we walked from our hotel over into a scene right out of The Diplomat.

The Honeymoon: Day 3, Back to London πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Since the honeymoon didn't go to plan, we found ourselves heading back to London on Thursday instead of Cambridge as planned.

The Honeymoon: Day 2, The Harry Potter Studio Tour πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

On the way to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, I didn't think anything was going to make me smile on this trip. The moment we parked in the parking lot, I started crying. I finally let it all out. I was sad and mad. Then I was so happy and excited that we had made it to something I had been waiting years to see. Let's get in there!

The Honeymoon: Day 2, The Passport & Police Problems πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

This morning was suppose to be spent lazily exploring Watford, enjoying a spa day and then the Harry Potter Studio Tour. Yesterday changed everything. Luckily not Harry Potter.
