If You Only Have One Day at San Diego Comic-Con, Here’s How to Make It Count ✨

✨ Headed to Comic-Con?
Grab my FREE Ultimate Survival Checklist so you don’t forget anything.

This is my husband's first San Diego Comic Con and I want to make it perfect because we have only one day.

But here’s the truth:

you don’t need four days to have an incredible experience.

If you only have one day, you just need to be intentional.

And this is how we are going to do it and you can too!

☀️ Start Your Day Without the Stress

We will not be getting there as the doors open.

With only one day, the last thing I want is to start it by standing in a long line before we even get inside.

Instead, we will arrive once the convention is already open, belly's full with a delicious breakfast.
Walking right in, and saving our energy for the actual con.

🎀 Pick One Panel (Not Five)

The panel schedule for Comic-Con is packed and it’s easy to feel like you need to do it all.

Honestly, you can't.

The night before, we will take a look at the schedule and choose one panel we actually care about seeing, if any.

For a first timer, I’d recommend choosing a smaller room panel.
You’ll still get the experience without spending hours in line.

🚢‍♀️ Walk the Floor During the Big Panels

When the biggest panels are happening, the convention floor gets "quieter."

That’s the moment.

We will be spending a few hours exploring:

  • booths

  • merch

  • interactive displays

  • artist alley

This is where Comic-Con really comes to life and you’ll enjoy it so much more without the peak crowds. Don't forget to keep an eye out for all your con friends!

πŸ₯€ Take a Real Break (You’ll Need It)

It’s easy to push through the day and forget to eat!

Plan a real break for lunch and snacks. Sit down. Reset.
You’ll enjoy the second half of your day so much more. Here's what to pack in your San Diego Comic Con survival bag!

🌴 Head Outside Before Everyone Else Does

Before the day winds down, step outside the convention center.

This is where a lot of the fun happens:

  • brand activations

  • pop-ups

  • immersive experiences

Go a little earlier and try to beat the closing time crowds.

πŸ’› Make Time for Your People

Comic-Con isn’t just about what you see it’s about who you share it with.

If you have friends there, make a plan to meet up.

Even if it’s quick. Even if it’s just to walk the floor together for a bit.

Those are the moments you’ll remember. Make sure to get that selfie!

πŸŒ… End the Day Away From the Chaos

Instead of staying until you’re completely exhausted, leave a little early.

Head away from the convention center somewhere quieter.

Dinner. The beach and fresh air.

Let the day settle.

Go through your swag. Talk about your favorite moments.

That’s how you turn a busy day into a really good memory.

✨ And Don't Forget...

If you only have one day at Comic-Con, don’t try to do everything.

Move with intention and leave space to just enjoy it.

Because the best Comic-Con days aren’t the busiest ones, they’re the ones you spend with friends! We will see you at the con nerds! Keep an eye out for us on Friday!
