I'm done waiting for someone to go places with. Time to get out and fly solo.
For Labor day 2020 I decided to do a big road trip! First stop? Moab and I FELL IN LOVE!! Since then I've gone back again in January 2020. I've gone in summer and winter and BOTH were great times! I cannot say how magical and awe inspiring of a place it is. I definitely found a forever connection to Moab.
Stay:
*Under Canvas Moab - I stayed in Under Canvas over Labor Day weekend. They sell out quickly each season so make sure to book ahead! The night was cool and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. The staff was super helpful and even took me in a golf cart to my tent so I didn't have to carry my stuff! I would stay here again and again!
*Hoodoo Moab, Curio Collection By Hilton - I stayed here in January and it was a perfect, cute and cozy spot! Loved it! They do have a pool and hot tub + restaurant! Free parking and close to Arches National Park and 30 minutes to Canyonlands National Park.
To-do:
*Arches National Park - I did Arches hiking in the summer and it was HOT! The first photo was a super easy hike called Windows Loop and perfect for mid day. The far right photo was a harder hike but was during sunset and ended up being perfect! The Delicate Arch Trail is worth it and one of my favorite Moab moments.
*Canyonlands National Park - I came back to Moab for a second time in January and the Corona and Bowtie Arch Trail in Canyonlands at sunrise was the best thing I've ever seen! The hike was super easy and short. It was a bit crowded but I was still able to get an amazing shot and enjoy the sunrise which wasn't until after 7AM. So the wake up and drive time from Moab wasn't bad!
*Shop before you go! Pack all your food, camping / glamping / hiking supplies.
Wow! I've never seen anything like Moab and have such a deep connection to the place. I cannot wait to go back and explore even more! See you again soon!
