5 Fandom Friday: 5 Ways I've Evolved in 2015

Are you NEW to 5 Fandom Friday? Welcome and come join along! 5 Fandom Friday was created by myself and Super Space Chick in October of 2014, as a way to get all of our blogger friends keeping on task each week, building a community with our fellow bloggers and connecting with new and old friends once a week! We choose the topics, you do the writing! Let's get inspired together!
2015 was the biggest year of my life. It was a year full of things I never imagined happening to me. Good {SDCC panel, all the music and writing} and bad {divorce and Tinder}. I grew more in this year than I have in my entire life. All of you nerds reading this deserve the biggest thank you for commenting, texting and emailing me with all of your love and support. I could never express how much that all means to me. I wouldn't be writing this right now with out all of you!
1. I found me. It took making the biggest decision of my life, leaving my husband, to begin to find me. It took nearly the entire year, a leap of faith and leaving LA to discover Denver and being surrounded by amazing women to finally figure out who I am and want to strive to be. I’m stronger than I ever thought I could be, I’m ready to develop my career and live outside my comfort zone.
2. I found my true friends. Liz was there with me from the beginning. But I’ve discovered amazing friends this year who have become family. Who I cannot wait to see, hug and chat with. Who have all given me different things: love, support, honesty, hugs, hand holds and cuddles.
3. I found my writing voice. The moment I decided to change my life, my creativity was jolted. I wanted to write. I never wanted to stop writing my heart out. Being honest and hopefully inspiring. I want to share what I’m going though so that maybe someone can relate and we can begin to help each other heal. I am hoping that is what will happen with my book 100 Cups Of Coffee.
4. I found my own strength. I’ve never thought of myself as a strong person. I have a lot of strong people in my life. Maybe that is why I didn’t think myself one. They surrounded me, so I didn’t need to be. Now I need to be. Dealing with my first major car accident, bills, job searching and moving half way across the country all on my own. I HAD to push through it all. And I did. All of you cheering me on the entire time made it bearable. So thank you.
5. I found out that I can wait for love. Nine months ago I was so ready to be loved in a way that I could feel. By anyone. I thought I found a few who could do it. In the end they couldn’t. That hurt. But I am happy to have put myself out there and discover what I truly want out of a future partner. Now I’m in a place where I’m ready to take it slow. Day by day. To continue to settle myself in my own life and THEN be ready for that person to love me. I am also proud that this is now number five on my list and not number one.

WOW. I LOVED writing this. I needed to write this. To finally reflect on truly how far I've traveled in 2015. Thank you again nerds for being there for me! I LOVE YOU! And I cannot WAIT to read your stories! Make sure to share them in the comments below and on Twitter so I can give you a RT!

Enjoy life out in Denver Megan!
