Why Dry Bar Is My Therapy

Drybar has been in the back of my mind for some time. When I lived in LA, the grocery store I went to was right next door to a Drybar. I thought it was pretty at the time, but I didn't understand it, so I never went in.

Then I began listening to NPR and their podcast, How I Built This. Founder Alli Webb was featured on an episode and I loved her drive and her unique idea to fill a market that was untapped at the time. The brand she built is beautiful and had me intrigued! Brand beauty gets me every time!

We Wear Born Campaign Feature!

I bought my first pair of Born Shoes in June 2012.  Thanks to one of the mom's a pre-school for letting me try her's on, I ran right away to the store an purchased this pair below!  WOW!  I can't believe I had gone this long without knowing about these amazing shoes.  They are super soft and comfy, not to mention totally stylish!  I love the height they gave me too {I'm 5'3"!}.

Earlier this year a representative from Born contacted me because of some tweets I had tweeted about the amazing shoes!  I wrote her this lil paragraph expressing my love for the shoes and sent her this picture.  It had been many months ago, so I had forgotten.  Until I received an email with the picture above!  I LOVE how this came out and am so excited to be apart of such a wonderful brand!
To make this story even better, yesterday morning a surprise Born Shoes package came in the mail!  They did tell me they would send me a lil something but I was NOT expecting this!  In the package was a lovely tote bag, wristlet, keychain, tool, bracelet, eye glass pouch, grooming kit and two mini shoes!  The icing on the cake was a lil note with a certificate for a FREE pair of shoes!!  I had to pick three and they will send me one.  Here are the three I picked!
I'm too excited!  I have been dying for a pair of these boots for a while.  My second choice is the metallic because I have been wanting that style but would never buy metallic.  Third are the pink flats that will be perfect for Spring.  I hardly ever by colored shoes so that is why I picked those.  I will update again when my shoes arrive!
Two days before I left for my trip to Colorado my Born shoes arrived on my doorstep!  I was so happy because I was hoping to be able to wear them on my trip and boy did I ever!  They are soooooo SOFT and comfy.  I love that every time I wear them, they get more character.

THANK YOU BORN!!

Nerdy 4 Sherlock

I had just finished up Doctor Who {which The Hunny refused to watch with me because "there are too many episodes"} and wanted a show that we could both watch together!  I had been hearing so many good things about Sherlock, but wasn't sure he would like it.  I watched the first episode alone, fell in LOVE and MADE him try it out.  Now we are both Sherlocked!

With only six episodes out, my nerding out is in high gear waiting for more to come!  News is all over the internet about the filming of series 3 coming to an end.  I am trying to avoid any and all spoilers like a mad women.  Hopefully we can see the new episodes the same time as the UK so we don't get any spoilers!

Favorite Characters:
*Sherlock - Benedict Cumberbatch
{He always gets the best lines and I love how oblivious he is to how others feel and what they think about him, in a good way.}
*John Watson - Martin Freeman
{I love how much he loves Sherlock and he is quite funny as well, but in a totally different way.}
*Molly Hooper - Louise Brealey
{I FEEL so much for her character.  The longing she has for Sherlock and how he totally and completely takes advantage of her.  My heart hurts for her.}
*James Moriarty - Andrew Scott
{One of THE best actors I have ever seen!  He played Moriarty so amazingly.  Everything.  He is brilliant!}

Favorite Episode:
*A Scandal in Belgravia
{I can never tell with this show!  Was Sherlock in love with Irene Adler?  Did she escape?  I was on the edge of my seat and my heart was beating fast!  I really hope get to see more character interaction from them in whats to come.}

Favorite Quotes:
"Shut up." - Sherlock
"I wasn't..." - Lastrade
"You were thinking it's annoying." - Sherlock

"Houston we have a mistake." - Sherlock

"Don't talk out loud you lower the IQ of the entire street." - Sherlock

Sherlock Shopping:

This Sherlock pendant from Bazinga Jewellery is so awesome.  I already LOVE the British flag add the Sher-locked lettering...perfection!

My most favorite thing is this Sherlock skirt from Nerd Alert Creations.  I loved the wallpaper in the show, but when Sherlock painted the smiley face on it and took his frustrations out on it, TV magic was made!  I am fully in love with this skirt, it is the perfect combination of nerdy and girlie.  It also has POCKETS!!  I had such an amazing time wearing it at our SherlockeDCC party this past San Diego Comic Con!  I still can't believe I was able to be involved in that amazing event!

If you have NOT watched this show go straight away to either Netflix or Amazon Prime and WATCH it is GENIUS!

What are YOU nerdy 4?!
