Why Dry Bar Is My Therapy

Drybar has been in the back of my mind for some time. When I lived in LA, the grocery store I went to was right next door to a Drybar. I thought it was pretty at the time, but I didn't understand it, so I never went in.

Then I began listening to NPR and their podcast, How I Built This. Founder Alli Webb was featured on an episode and I loved her drive and her unique idea to fill a market that was untapped at the time. The brand she built is beautiful and had me intrigued! Brand beauty gets me every time!

Then....one day in my email inbox, I got an invitation to go to the newly opened Drybar at the Park Meadows Mall! I invited my best friend Liz and we went down right before Christmas break. I had a had along and stressfully day at work that day. I was so ready for vacation.
As soon as we walked it, it was BRIGHT and beautiful! My stylist was so kind and friendly and talked me through what type of style I wanted. Then she took me back to wash my hair. NOW this is the part I'm talking about....I LOVE getting my hair washed! Weird? But it is the most relaxing thing to me, add in a head massage and allllllll of my stress melted away.
I was hooked.

Sitting in the stylist chair was just as relaxing, brushing and the soft noise of the blow dryer, I was blissful....I also had a nice dark cup of coffee too. You can't get any better than this! PLUS you get to leave with some gorgeous hair!
My Christmas hair lasted me 5 days! Granted I added a lot of dry shampoo there at towards the end, but for $45 dollars and a $10 tip, you get great hair for 5 days! Since Christmas I went back for Galentine's Day with my co-workers and am planning to go for my birthday and Liz's bachelorette party in Miami!

I think once a month will be my limit right now. But out of all the "treat yo self" things I do, this is number one.
What do you think of the Drybar concept? Would you want to go? I cannot say enough good things about it! Let me know in the comments below! And HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY NERDS!!! xx

This sounds so amazing! I'm bummed that there's not a location near me but I'll cross my fingers and wait!
