HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2013!

Every year I am super excited to dress up for Halloween!  This year I am the 11th Doctor.  He has my favorite outfit and I love carrying a Sonic Screwdriver!  My pre-school kiddos will have no idea who I am {they usually don't} but it is a great way to introduce them to the awesomeness that is Doctor Who!
The Gamer Geek and The Music Maven even got in on the BBC theme this year by dressing up as an amazing Sherlock and Watson!
In the past I have been River from Firefly/Serenity, Phineas from Phineas and Ferb and Marty McFly from Back to the Future.
For The Hunny's work party last night, I was excited to do my Marty Mcfly from last year again with people who got it!  I made fast friends with fellow time travelers Mike and Annie!
For the ride over to the party The Hunny's company got us a double decker bus!  This Anglophile was in heaven!
The Hunny isn't into dressing up so, I just brought my Jayne had and made him wear it!
What are you all dressing up as today?!  Share with me over on Twitter or in the comments below!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

If we get in early a bonus panel before Being Human is The Nerdist panel at 3pm.  Fingers crossed!

San Diego Comic Con 2011: Preview Night

I was trying to contain my excitement until we got there, because it felt like it wasn't really happening!  We got our badges fairly quickly and headed down to the floor!  At first glance it is always overwhelming.  My Dad's eyes popped out of his head when he saw all the freebies!  He was a happy camper after that!!  But our first stop ended up being the Toynami booth to get my Futurama exclusives.  I got the stuffed Robot Devil and Destructor figure, those will be sent to us 8-10 weeks after SDCC.  Today we were able to take home a Tineez Bender.

With five different people who want to do five different things it was a bit difficult to get to where I wanted to go, but the hunny reminded me that it wasn't all about me!  I get a lil crazy on the first night!  My favorite swag of the night was a set of three Being Human buttons that my Music Maven found!

We hit up the Bongo Comics booth and I got the 2012 Futurama calendar, but have to come back Friday for the newest comic.

My favorite booth was the Phinneas and Ferb booth,  where I got a limited edition, only sold at SDCC Agent P figure.  There where five different figures in blind boxes.  AND I got to sit on a Perry bench and will have to get my picture next to the Perry bus tomorrow because I forgot  my Nikon! :(.

Luncha Libre Agent P

For the first time (this being our 3rd year at the con) we stayed for the entire preview night we arrive just as the doors were opening at 6pm and left right before closing at 9pm to beat the traffic.  Then had a yummy dinner at Mona Lisa.

My preview night swag...good haul!!!

Now we get to sleep for a couple hours before queuing up for the Twilight Breaking Dawn pt 1 panel.  Which doesn't begin in Hall H until 11:15am and as we where leaving there were already a few hundred people in line!  Wish us luck!!

San Diego Comic Con 2011: Day 1

Thursday began with a 5:30am wake up call.

Enough time to take a group picture and head for the Breaking Dawn line.

We got to the line around 7am and were pleasantly surprised with a FREE breakfast.  Volunteers passed out muffins, OJ, water and apples!!!  Then the screaming began.....

Members of the Breaking Dawn cast came out to sign autographs to those waiting in line.  Nikki Reed aka Rosalie.

Ashley Greene aka Alice.

Elizabeth Reaser aka Esme the vampire mother.

And then we finally made it into H Hall around 10:30am and were seated 14 rows back.  Pretty close, could actually make out the actors this year.  And this year Rob's hair was the big news!  Half of his hair was shaved off!!!  They ended up showing two scenes from the new movie.  One with Jacob, Esme and Carlisle discussing who was going to go get Bella more blood to eat, to substance her growing baby.  The 2nd was an AWESOME honeymoon scene.  It showed Edward carrying Bella over the threshold of their honeymoon house...walking into the bedroom...and her saying she needed a "human moment" and getting ready to go for a dip in the ocean with him....NUDE!

They then brought out the rest of the cast for the Q&A portion.  And ended the panel with the Breaking Dawn trailer...and I got a lil teary eyed seeing it on that HUGE screen!

We then had a bunch a time to walk around the floor before heading to the Wilfred panel.  I LOVE this awesome Chuck mirror at the WB booth.

And one of my FAVORITE things about SDCC is walking around and seeing random celebs doing signings. Here are two actors from Dexter.  James Remar (Dexter's Dad) and C.S. Lee (Vincent Masuka) at the Showtime booth.

After walking around the the Showtime booth, I turn around and see Mr. In EVERYTHING James Frain (The Tudors, Tron: Legacy, True Blood, The Count of Monte Cristo {one of my FAV movies} and Flash Forward).  That was totally awesome!!  He is GREAT!

Also spotted Emmy Rossum from The Phantom of the Opera (another one of my FAV movies) signing at the Showtime booth for her show Shameless, after grabbing my favorite swag of the day, a Hunger Games Mocking Jay pin!  We headed up to room 6A to wait for the Wilfred panel.

We ended up walking right into the room with no wait!  And after one panel ended, we got seats in the VERY front row!!!  To my delight the next panel was for the show Awake staring Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy!)  They showed us the pilot and it was AWESOME!  Kinda reminded me of Inception-ish crazy plot line.  But good, recommend it!!

Next we had to sit through the Beavis and Butthead panel...but plus side Johnny Knoxville was the host.  He and the creator/voice actor/animator made up the panel.

Then it was FINALLY the Wilfred panel!  They showed us tonight's episode, which was HIGH-larious as usual and the cast came out and did a Q&A with the fans.  Elijah Wood was super funny and nice, as was Jason Gann who plays Wilfred.  Got some great shots, even though the water pitcher was directly in my line of site cover up his face most of the time.

A few of my favorite things from today...the Hunger Games!

This cute kitty!

The Phineas and Ferb booth.

I got to take a picture with the Perry bus and my Dad picked me up a FREE Ferb backpack....off to bed after a satisfying diner at Pho and back to the Con again early 2morrow to get into line for Ballroom 20, which I heard was a MAD HOUSE today....good night!!!

San Diego Comic Con 2011: Day 2

Day 2 began at 6am with us planning to make it to the Walking Dead panel in ballroom 20 but by the time we were already to leave, the line had 3000 people in it!!!  So we said poop to that!  We ended up getting to the con right as the doors were opening and started our swag hunt!

Our 1st swag was a random surprise, a Harry potter Lego lanyard.  What I was on the hunt for was Phineas and Ferb backpacks.  We got there and I was able to get one of each Phineas, Ferb and Perry!!

Awesome life size Dexter.

The Hunny with Dean Eagle character Mandy.

Browncoat's booth.

We walked by this AWESOME artist and fell in LOVE with the R2D2 painting, we would have soooo bought it if it wasn't $400! :(

Felcia Day from The Guild and Dr. Horrible's Sing A Long Blog.

Next I heard they were handing out the Dexter bags and sprinted over, unknowingly I cut the line The Hunny and @The_Gamer_Geek got kicked to the back while I got mine and re-joined them before they even made much progress.

We ended up heading downtown after collecting inside swag.  I had never been downtown during the con, and I didn't know what I was missing!  As soon as we crossed the street we were bombarded with freebies!!  I had major sensory overload!  People from every direction handing you this and that!  In the 1st five mins I think I got at least four new bags, buttons, toys and just random papers!  The boys went crazy for t shirts!  A girl was tossing them to the crowd and The Hunny ended up getting two there.  His mission this con is getting as many T's as possible!  Today alone I think he got about 8!

Cute Pan Am girls handing out messenger bags, I wanted one of their rolly luggage, CUTE!!

Being Human our FAV show, can't wait for tomorrow's panel!!

Then we crossed the street to the SyFy restaurant and ate lunch.  They ended up having the Hunny's games logo on the outside walls and we got to sit at the Defiance table!!  It was huge and had a big picture of the game!  It was surreal to finally see it in the real world after he has been working on it for two years!  I was happy to have a burger that was named Adien's bite burger (he's my favorite character from Being Human)!

THE DEFIANCE TABLE!!

South Park Parade.

After lunch we went to find Zachary Levi's Nerd HQ.

NERD HQ!!!

Conan's art museum!

The CoCo museum was filled with all fan art and there were some awesome pieces!  My favorite had to be the The Flaming C (Conan's new superhero) made out of balloons!  This really had to be my favorite thing we did today!  We got to help create some art, take a picture with the Flaming C and got a TON of freebies!  A T-shirt (wearing tomorrow), a oven mitt, a button, a poster and a copy of the picture.  They were even handing out hor'dourves and sparkling cider in champagne plastic glasses!  It was awesome!

Creating CoCo art.

Knitted Flaming C.

One of my favorite fan art pieces.

Sparkling cider...cheers to COCO!

Waiting in line Dr. Doofenshmirtz with a captured Agent P.

Ashley Tidsdale, totally adorable!

.
And finally ended up sitting eight rows back from where I was the day before, for the Phineas and Ferb panel.  They started off showing a part of an episode where the characters were cavemen and only spoke in caveman!  It was highlarious!  They caveman said all their usual catch phrases!  It was great!  Then all the voice characters came out and they showed a clip from the upcoming TV movie and a music video where Phineas sings with Slash.  As I left the panel I got P&F buttons!!  As I count back on my swag, I ended up with six of their backpacks!!  :)  We shut the place down again...and will be back bright in early tomorrow morning to line up at the Hilton Bayfront for our Being Human panel!!!
