Doctor Who Season 3

I was so busy into the 4th season that I forgot to share my favorites from season 3...so here they are!

The Shakespeare Code
Shakespeare, aliens and Harry Potter equal a winning combination!  All the mention of J.K. plus Shakespeare and the Doctor's relationship were BRILLENT!
"Expeliamus!" - Shakespeare {I DIE!}

Girdlock
Guess I can never complain about traffic again!  Loved that the cat race was back again and the planet he brought Rose to.
"You are not alone." - The Face of Bode {& we finally figure how who The Face of Bode REALLY is later in the season!  WHAT?!  WHAT?! AWESOME!}

The Family of the Blood
I LOVED seeing the Doctor as a human and what his life could have been.  But why after he changed back to a Time Lord would he ask his old fiance to come with him and Martha?!  I think Martha would have went off the deep end if she agreed to come!  Seeing the Doctor fall in love with someone else is enough, bringing her on as his second companion, devastating.

Blink
The first episode I started with when I began my marathon, since it was so famous.  I loved how the Doctor was hardly in it, yet was still controlling the entire thing.  I LOVE the time travel, and future/past fixing of things.  Poor Sally Sparrow getting all confused when right when someone disappears they contact her again saying they are dead/old.  WEIRD but awesome!

Last of the Time Lords
The Doctor is not the only Time Lord?!  The aliens are really humans from the future?!  The Doctor is in is 900 year old form...how will this all work out!?  Martha is here to save the day.  I never really latched on to her as a companion, especially since they kept bringing up Rose {sad face!}.  But she had my respect when she left the Doctor because she loved him and would never have his love in return.  She is a stand up girl for leaving him and getting on with her life.

1/2 way done w/ season 4 now and it is the last one with the 10th Doctor...will I like the 11th Doctor?!

Doctor Who Season 2: Depressing?!

I didn't think I could go on after the season one finale and loosing the first Doctor.  Now after the second season finale I don't know if I can go on without Rose!  I don't think I have ever watched a more depressing show.  Of couse it isn't always depressing, but the underlying tone is always loneliness.   As for the new Doctor he FINALLY won me over in the fifth episode*, which is now my favorite of what I have seen of Doctor Who.

Favorite Episodes:

*The Girl in the Fireplace
My most favorite episode of the series so far.  This is where I finally accepted the new Doctor.  I was romanced by the era, the fashion and the relationship between Madam De Pompaduor and the Doctor.  I finally saw the deep loneliness the Doctor has.  He has all these loves and lives forever with them in his hearts, while they in turn only have one love, him, and wait a lifetime for him but can never truly have him.  SIGH!

*The Rise of the Cybermen
Dashing in a tux, yes?!  I love me some parallel universes and this great {even more great that they brought them back in my last favorite episode}!  Mickey finally steps up and becomes a man without Rose.  Rose gets to see her father again.  Downside the Cybermen are trying to take over the human race.  I always love when the whole family gets together to save the day!

*Doomsday
First time I cried while watching...they just keep jerking me around!  First the Doctor makes Rose go to the parallel universe {where they left Mickey}.  Then she comes back to help him close the portal.  Then she is sucked into the portal...oh wait her dad/not dad saves her taking her back to the parallel universe.  Then she wakes up hearing the Doctor's voice, travels miles and miles and miles...sees him one last time...can't touch him...tells him she loves him and he says...."Rose Tyler I...."  NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!  I was kinda upset they tried to lighten up the episode with the bride arriving in the Tardis!  I wanted to wallow in my sadness!

Oh well must push on to season 3!

Finally, I really have to use the "Fingers on lips!" Doctor line at preschool! :)  Bringing the nerdy to a new generation!

Doctor Who Series 1: Let The Fan-Girling Begin!

I've been told many times for many years that I would LOVE Doctor Who and that I should watch it...but of course my stubborn self has to wait till she is ready and that time is NOW!  Via Netflix I have just finished series one of Doctor Who and have found my newest thing to fan girl out about!  Watch out SDCC 2013!

Favorite episodes:

#6 Dalek
mean while this was too cute on Etsy!
I have heard so many bad bad things about the Daleks!  This episode is the first time I got to meet them and it is quite depressing!  You end up feeling mostly sorry for the Dalek.  He thinks that he, like the Doctor are the last of their kind.  Humans keep this one Dalek chained up and continue to electrocute him in hopes of eliciting some response.  Only when Rose shows up and gives him a bit of compassion does he begin responding.  Then he goes on a killing spree, but it is understandable since he was locked up and tortured for who knows how long.  In the end he begins to have feelings, dosen't like that and asks Rose to give the orders to have him destroy himself.

#8 Father's Day

I always love a good backstory and alternate reality!  Rose goes back to see her father through his death and ends up saving him instead.  This sends crazy creatures out to kill everyone in existence, unless her dad dies.  I love getting to know the characters more and more through out the series.  Rose will always do anything for her dad.  And he turns out to be a great guy in the end.  AWWWW!

#12 Bad Wolf

I noticed the words popping up first in the picture above {hard to miss!} but not much after until the episode of the same name.  So cleaver to have it strewn about the series until the end...it all came together!  The Daleks are back, this time I feel a bit less sorry for them, but not much.  They now have an emperor who controls them and created them and they are now part human!  Again not their fault.  I am told my opinion of them will change in the coming seasons...but as of now, I just want to give them a big o' hug.

The Doctor
Christopher Eccleston was an amazing Doctor.  He was not my first though.  The first time I watched an episode of Doctor Who was a Christmas special with Matt Smith.  My second episode was Blink with David Tennant.  So it took a bit for me to get on the Christopher train but now, that he is gone I'm so SAD!!!!  I loved his goofy Doctor and loved when we was his mad Doctor!  Will I ever love another Doctor more...STAY TUNED!
