Creating your beauty budget 💁🏻‍♀️

As I've gotten older it has become incredibly important to me to take care of myself. I've found that beauty care can be quite pricy! Discretionary spending should be at 20% of your monthly income. Let's figure out what items in your beauty routine are most important to you and how to keep you on budget!

50% - Static bills 30% - Saving / Investing 20% - Discretionary spending Inside the 20% is where your beauty budget is going to fall. My favorite budget friendly brand of the moment is The Ordinary. I’ve tried these 4 products below and highly recommend them. The Ordinary Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair - $8 (lasted 4 months). This can double as a cleanser as well, I didn't do that the first go round but would be a great way to save even more! Behentrimonium Chloride 2% Conditioner - $8 (lasted 4 months) Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (daytime face oil) - $7 (lasted 2 months) Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (nighttime face oil) - $10.50 (lasted 2 months) Since I loved all of the items above and all of that was under $40, next I’d like to incorporate in their eye cream ($7.50) and toner ($10). Youth To The People, Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser is $36 for a bottle. I use it both night and day. Though it is on the pricier side, it lasts me about 4 months, that is only $9 per month for something that I love and is great on my skin. Always look at the price per use on things you use daily and love!!

Sunscreen is an everyday must and since I’m on a budget, I’ve fallen in love with Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for only $12.39. I purchased my first bottle in February and its about half way finished 5 and a 1/2 months later.

I like ending both my morning and night skincare routines with a facial roller. This is a great additional because it is only a one time cost. This best selling and highly rated roller is only $20. Add it into your next month and it will start paying for itself soon!

I use to go get my nails done every two weeks. That ended up being $80 a month. Since I've been going for so long, I know that OPI works the best and lasts the longest for me. I plan to purchase my 4 favorite OPI colors + the top coat. All together that would come out to be less than a month of manicures + I can touch them up at home as needed!

I like purchasing all my beauty products through Sephora. Not only do I get points shopping with them and their Beauty Insider Program, I also shop on my desktop with my Ibotta plug in. With Ibotta, I get 2% back on my entire purchase at Sephora. Not only can I use Ibotta on Sephora, but I've used it on Target (weekly), Sorel and tons more places! Shop online and get free money! It's so easy! Who doesn't like free money?!

Let me know in the comments below your favorite budget beauty buys and if you try one of these! Good luck and happy saving!
