5 Fandom Friday: 5 Ways I've Evolved in 2016

Welcome and come join along! 5 Fandom Friday was created by myself and Super Space Chick in October of 2014, as a way to get all of our blogger friends keeping on task each week, building a community with our fellow bloggers and connecting with new and old friends once a week! We choose the topics, you do the writing! Let's get inspired together!

This was my favorite prompt from last year so I just had to have us do it again this year. I did a lot of evolving in 2015 and 2016. It is so fun to look back and see how far I've come and in the last two years that has been far!

1. I took care of myself. I moved from LA to Denver all by myself. Got the pod, packed my things {my brother helped me pack the pod}, changed everything to Colorado, drove there alone and found my very first apartment. Whew. That was a lot but it was worth it.

2. I found the best full time job for me. I worked for a few places at the beginning of the year that just weren't for me. I knew I didn't want to get stuck there, so I kept looking. Then I found my current job, got a raise and am now very happy but am always looking at ways to be better and learn more.

3. I lived in the moment. I had to do a lot of planning this year. I did it and I'm happy I did but I also wanted to just be for a little bit. To make sure I was present with my friends when I was with them and to have meaningful conversations and explore my thoughts more. I love being with my friends and talking about anything and everything. I am so lucky to have such amazing and supportive people in my life.

4. I am planning for the future. Now that the year is at an end I'm thinking about next year a lot more. I did lot this year so what can I do better next year? I want to travel more, save more money and continue to foster my wonderful friendships. My big goal is to do a second edit on 100 Cups of Coffee and begin pitching it to publishers!

5. I let someone love me the way I need to be loved. It was tough at the beginning of the year but Ocean Eyes stuck with me and together we grew as a couple and just celebrated the anniversary of our very first date. It is amazing how far we've come in a year. Ups and downs and we've stuck it out together, we talked, we laughed and we cried, but most importantly we held on to each other.

2016 was my first year living on my own and I did it successfully. Now onto the next chapter by moving in with Ocean Eyes! I want to continue to keep taking care of myself but with him by my side.
