5 Fandom Friday: Things I've Bought But Haven't Read/Watched/Played Yet
welcome! ππ»♀️
Hi, I’m Megan Elvrum! ☕
I started blogging in 2012.
Somewhere along the way, it turned into something bigger than I expected… a space for rebuilding, growth, and figuring out who you are when everything changes.
Now, all these years later, I’m self-publishing my first novel Musical Awakening.
Thank you for being here! π
let the journey begin

"I'm a sucker for epistolary novels, so when I first read about it on Megan's blog I knew I needed to get my hands on a copy. If you're a millennial that spent their teens and 20's in small show venues every weekend then this is the book for you. A very cute story, perfect for a cozy weekend in with a cup of coffee (or tea) :)"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Natalie, Amazon Review
"As someone who also lives in music and feels it deeply this is a story for you! A quick read that took me to a nostalgic time where music and traveling shaped my life and helped me with some of my own self discoveries. I felt right at home reading this book!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Erin, Amazon Review

Eleanor & Park x 1,000
ReplyDeleteSo good. I actually enjoyed it more than Fangirl.
Yess The Great Gatsby is sitting on my iBooks shelf waiting to be read! The film is so good!! I also really want to read Fan Girl, I've heard nothing but good about it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how this week has turned into posts about books people want to read!
ReplyDeleteI got This Song Will Save Your Life for Christmas and I haven't read it yet either (despite REALLY looking forward to it)! We should read it at the same time! Also, I saw that you started Eleanor & Park last night and I hope you love it!
ReplyDeleteI just joined the series this week and I'm super excited! The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books of all time and you need to read it, watch the movie, and read it again! Fangirl is something that has been on my list for a bit but I'm a bit hesitant to read. I love books and pleasure reading is something I am trying to work on this year.

Divergent Review"
Kristin so far so good! I've been so busy on the trip I haven't had much time to read it but I love it so far! xx
ReplyDeleteLOVE Baz & the film that is why I'm super excited to read the book! xx
ReplyDeleteChrista nice to know! Thank you you! Fangirl is SO Perfect!! xx
ReplyDeleteHA B! I gotta get reading everyone's posts! xx
ReplyDeleteKatya, i read fangirl in a day it is that good! xx
ReplyDeleteTricia! REALLY?! I needa get reading! xx
ReplyDeleteThe Great Gatsby was one of my favorite reads in high school. Also Eleanor & Park was an okay book. Not amazing, but a good read nonetheless . :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list, and I love how you changed the topic to work for you! Gotta save those pennies for England! Will you post reviews for these books?
ReplyDeleteKate...yes I do and I think I might! xx
ReplyDeleteOmg, you have GOT to read Gatsby! I looove the book. I taught high school English for a year, and though I hated the job, I LOVED teaching that book. So. Good.
ReplyDeleteSame here: I'd like to tead more classics. And more Rainbow Rowell!!
ReplyDeleteI love mixing up the list! It's great to use the prompt as you see fit, and it's even neater to see how people still fit the "theme" in their own way!
ReplyDeleteAlso, yay for upcoming birthdays!
I should also mention that I nearly fell out of my chair the day Kiera Cass announced the new books in the Selection series. I was giddy until I realized how long I had to wait. My preorder is in & I will DEVOUR The Heir when it's released!!
ReplyDeleteI just read Eleanor and Park for IggleBookWorms. It was pretty good. I like The Great Gatsby when I read it in high school but when I re-read it for a book club a few years later I hated all the characters lol
ReplyDeleteThe Selection is on my book shelf waiting to be read. I also really want Eleanor and Park.
ReplyDeleteBaz should remake every book we had to read in school. Love him! (Romeo and Juliet anyone?)
ReplyDeleteDid you find it a bit too sad? That was my feeling.
ReplyDeleteLOVE R&J!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED The Selection series...read each in a day!
ReplyDeleteWill do Kendall!!! xx
ReplyDeleteWell it was sad, but I am not sure why I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought. Maybe I imagined the ending a little differently. haha
