5 Fandom Friday: Things I've Bought But Haven't Read/Watched/Played Yet

For the first time in 5 Fandom Friday history, I'm gonna mix it up!  There isn't a lot of thing that I buy that I don't use right away.  I'm just too excited!  So since my birthday is coming up {March 2nd} and my new years resolution was to read more, here are five books that I would love to read ASAP!
5 Books I Want NOW!

5 Books I Want NOW! by thenerdygirlie on Polyvore

1.  The Heir, Kiera Cass.  I LOVED The Selection series.  I blew through book one and two very quickly and was super happy with how The One ended.  I cannot wait to read The Heir.

2.  After, Anna Todd.  One Direction fan-fic.  Done.

3.  This Song Will Save Your Life, Leila Sales.  I just read The Rock Star in Seat 3A and read it in only a few hours!  That never happens.  I feel like this book will be the same and I cannot wait.

4.  Eleanor & Park, Rainbow Rowell.  Fangirl has to be one of the best books I have ever read.  I cannot wait to devour everything else Rainbow Rowell has to offer.

5.  The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald.  I haven't read a lot of classic books and I really want to change that.  I loved the movie and cannot wait to see what the book is like.

Do you all feel comfortable mixing up the list to suit your site?  I hope you do.  I was having the hardest time on this prompt because I'm saving my money for my UK trip this year and am not buying a lot of extra things.  I still wanted to participate, because I LOVE this series so I just went for it!

Have any of you read these books?!  Let me know what you think {no spoilers please!}.  Plus share your links and thoughts in the comments below and don't forget to tweet me your link for a RT!  Happy Friday nerds!

I got This Song Will Save Your Life for Christmas and I haven't read it yet either (despite REALLY looking forward to it)! We should read it at the same time! Also, I saw that you started Eleanor & Park last night and I hope you love it!

I just joined the series this week and I'm super excited! The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books of all time and you need to read it, watch the movie, and read it again! Fangirl is something that has been on my list for a bit but I'm a bit hesitant to read. I love books and pleasure reading is something I am trying to work on this year.

The Great Gatsby was one of my favorite reads in high school. Also Eleanor & Park was an okay book. Not amazing, but a good read nonetheless . :)

Great list, and I love how you changed the topic to work for you! Gotta save those pennies for England! Will you post reviews for these books?

Megan Gotch said...

Kate...yes I do and I think I might! xx

Omg, you have GOT to read Gatsby! I looove the book. I taught high school English for a year, and though I hated the job, I LOVED teaching that book. So. Good.

I love mixing up the list! It's great to use the prompt as you see fit, and it's even neater to see how people still fit the "theme" in their own way!
Also, yay for upcoming birthdays!

I should also mention that I nearly fell out of my chair the day Kiera Cass announced the new books in the Selection series. I was giddy until I realized how long I had to wait. My preorder is in & I will DEVOUR The Heir when it's released!!

I just read Eleanor and Park for IggleBookWorms. It was pretty good. I like The Great Gatsby when I read it in high school but when I re-read it for a book club a few years later I hated all the characters lol

The Selection is on my book shelf waiting to be read. I also really want Eleanor and Park.

Baz should remake every book we had to read in school. Love him! (Romeo and Juliet anyone?)

Did you find it a bit too sad? That was my feeling.

LOVE R&J!!

I LOVED The Selection series...read each in a day!

Will do Kendall!!! xx

Well it was sad, but I am not sure why I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought. Maybe I imagined the ending a little differently. haha
