Geek Girls Gab with Geeky Glamorous

I run the geek culture and fashion website, Geeky Glamorous. I started Geeky Glamorous to chronicle my experiences at various geek events. It's now expanded into a place for other geek ladies to find apparel, toys, and other collectibles that have a feminine flair. Some of my favorite fandoms include Mass Effect, Spider-Man, Tolkien, and World of Warcraft. My number one geek love is video games but I'm also quite fond of comic books, tabletop games, and "space opera" TV shows.
The Nerdy Girlie:  What is your 1st nerd memory?
Mandi:  Working super hard in elementary school to get straight A's so my parents would buy me a Super Nintendo.
TNG:  How and why did you start blogging?
Mandi:  I was inspired by a lot of the Japanese fashion bloggers who posted everyday snaps of eating out, their outfit posts, etc. At the time, I noticed very few "geek girls" blogging, so I wanted to change that! I also love sharing pictures and meeting other like minded gals so I used it as a tool to meet other geek chic ladies. OH HI MEGAN!

TNG:  YOUR favorite blog?
Mandi:  Wow, this is a really tough question. There are so many fun ones out there! I love Glitzy Geek Girl and Geek Pinata. I also love reading the cosplay tutorials on Kamui Cosplay

TNG:  What is your favorite thing/things to nerd out about?
Mandi:  Any video game from BioWare! I love hearing about others' experiences playing their games because the game can be played so many different ways. What class did you play? Were you good or evil? Garrus or Liara? etc. etc.
TNG:  Any tips for San Diego Comic Con?
Mandi:  HAVE A PLAN OF ACTION. No joke. Make sure you do your research prior to the convention. They post the schedule before the con, so plan accordingly. If you're intending to see a panel, expect to camp out (literally) for anything in Hall H, or go to the panel or two before the one you want to see. It's impossible to see and do everything. Pace yourself. Take time to relax, get rest and wash your hands! Con flu is no fun!

Also, if you didn't manage to get a badge, don't fret! They are TONS of things to do for free outside the con center that don't require a badge. Still worth the trip to SD if you ask me!

TNG:  Girlie things you love?
Mandi:  I love nail polish, shopping, and Monster High dolls!

BIG thank you to the FABULOUS Mandi!!  She has such an amazing blog and I always love reading it!  Check it out:  Geeky Glamorous and follow her over on Twitter @geekyglamorous.
