5 Must Watch Fall 2013 Pilots

Sweaters, pumpkins and new Fall pilots!  I cannot wait for Fall to being, even though our weather doesn't change here in San Diego, the start of the Fall pilot season reminds us of what we've been missing all summer!  As I am so close to canceling the cable MAYBE one or ALL of these shows will make me hang on to it.  Only time will tell.  Here are the five pilots I'm super excited for this Fall!

Dracula is a tale that has been told a million times over.  BUT never with Jonathan Reyes Meyers.  Even if I wasn't a HUGE vampire fan, I would still watch it because he is such a wonderful actor.  I haven't been a huge fan of network shows as of late, so I hope this version of Dracula can step it up and make me stay!  Dracula premieres Friday October 25th 10/9c on NBC.

Almost Human by J.J. Abrams.  Need I say more?  Well I will!  I loved Fringe it is one of my favorite shows and I cannot wait to jump back into an awesome sci-fi show!  As always I love humor mixed with drama.  It gives you a break from your every day life, but doesn't make you depressed!  Almost Human premieres Monday November 4th 8/7c on Fox.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was THE thing at this years SDCC.  I was worried about it being a TV show, but I heard one HUGE Browncoat say it is BETTER than Firefly.  With that my trust in the show there and I cannot wait to see how Joss runs the show.  EVERYthing he has done has been a hit {cult or not}.  SHIELD is going to be what everyone is talking about at the water-coolers.  It premieres Tuesday September 24th 8/7c on ABC

The Michael J Fox Show had me at Michael.  I am a HUGE Back to the Future fan and cannot wait to see Fox back on TV.  The trailer is funny and I love his sense of humor.  I hope that they can keep it going and keep it meaningful.  MJF Show premieres Thursday September 26th with a two hour episode.

The team here was lucky enough to view the pilot of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland at SDCC this year.  I wasn't excited to see it, but the show really held my attention.  The acting and costumes were also great.  My favorite part is that this "show" is only one season and everything will be wrapped up in the end.  If Once can do this successfully, I would love to see them do this with other fairy tales.  Wonderland premieres Thursday October 10th at 8/7c on ABC.

Bonus Pick:

Fangasm – a six-part docuseries that celebrates the incredibly unique, often misunderstood, and infinitely fascinating fan girl and fan boy culture. The show follows seven pop culture-obsessed fans (whose passions range from comic books and collectibles to science fiction and fantasy) living together in an LA apartment complex and working together at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo. The seven must contend with each others oversized personalities and conflicting fandom as they vie for an opportunity to work within Lee's organization.

I am so happy to see the nerd community getting recognized and I cannot wait to see Twitter friend Kristin Hackett rock it on the show!

What new shows are you setting your DVRs for this Fall and what do you think of my picks??!!
