No one tells you what to do
during a hard chapter. When you're left with yourself and everything you just went through.

Through my divorce, is where I found running. As a way to slowly find my way back to myself and redistribute the pain from my heart down through my legs and out of my mind.

Saturday, April 6th, 2019.....

I had been training since Thanksgiving 2018. Come March 3rd, I was suppose to run my first half marathon, but Denver had different plans. A blizzard hit the night before and I woke up the morning of to 1 degree temps. So I opted to do a virtual run instead. Then began quickly looking for another half marathon.

The Price of Running

When I began running mid 2015, I never knew where the road would take me. Today I have 7 5Ks under my belt and am training for my first marathon! I started off with just a pair of hand me down running shoes and the comfy clothes I already had in my closet. Flash forward to today I have am set up my own in home gym with the generous help of Ocean Eyes!

As you can see, running has begun to cost more than I ever thought. But this is my passion and I cannot wait to invest in it and myself. Here is are seven running areas I'm spending money on.

Prepping For My 1st Marathon

A few weeks ago when I was in LA on a business trip, I was able to see the NYC Marathon. I grew up with my step-dad running marathons and even after I began my running journey, it was never something I thought I would ever want to do.

Until I saw NYC Marathoners running past screaming crowds and the emotion they had crossing the finish line. I love races and I wanted to have that type of life changing experience for myself. So here I go with....five ways I'm getting ready for my first marathon!

How To 5K

I am not a running expert by any means, but here is how I trained for my first 5K and continued my running journey.

When my bestie Steph asked me to run my first 5K with her in 2017 I was SUPER nervous. I’d never run 3.1 miles, I could barely do two and that was with walking. I challenged myself to say yes and then began my research.
