For the entire month leading up to the show, I'd been watching videos of Harry's Together Together residency on Instagram. Every time another clip popped up, I'd watch it and think about how amazing it must be to be there.
What I didn't know was that I'd be there myself...
I only found out two weeks before the show that I was getting a ticket. Two weeks! After watching everyone else's videos for weeks, suddenly I was going to experience it in person. I barely had time to let that sink in before I was on a plane at 6AM Friday morning 10/23/2026.
And then, somehow, I was standing inside Madison Square Garden at 1PM the same day purchasing merch. Hoodie, t-shirt, vinyl and a little something for my bestie who made the trip happen.
After merch at MSG, I headed to the Soul Look London Pop-Up. The line looked longer than it actually was, and after about 30 minutes, I had the hat I'd been hoping to get! Completely worth the wait! I highly suggest making the time. It is only a quick walk away from MSG.
Then it was off to the hotel to check in and get ready, followed by dinner with my bestie before the main event. It was a packed afternoon, but I was exactly where I wanted to be.
The entire trip felt so surreal. I couldn't quite believe I was actually there to watch Harry Styles perform in a place I'd visited so many times for so many different reasons. This time, though, I was there for something that felt incredibly special to me as a longtime One Direction fan.
I tried to stay in the moment as much as possible during the show. I took some videos, knowing I'd want to watch them again later, but I also wanted to look around, take it all in, and really be there. It's so easy to watch a concert through your phone, especially when you've spent weeks watching other people's videos. I wanted my memories of this night to be about more than what I could capture on camera.
And then came my favorite moment of the entire night.
My bestie and I hugged, swayed, and sang Sign of the Times together as the second-to-last song of the night.
There's something about sharing a song like that with someone you love. It's not just the music or the fact that you're finally seeing an artist you've adored for years. It's the person standing beside you, singing the same words, feeling the same excitement, and knowing you're going to remember this moment together forever.
I don't think I could have planned a better moment if I'd tried.
The whole night felt surreal, like I was still watching someone else's Instagram videos and hadn't quite caught up to the fact that this was happening to me!
But I was there!
And I got to share it with my best friend.
That's the part I'll remember long after the videos have been watched a hundred more times.
Sometimes the best concert memories aren't the perfect photos or the clips you post afterward. They're the moments when you put your arms around your best friend, sing your heart out, and realize you're living an experience you weren't even sure you'd get to have.
Before I knew it, I was back at LaGuardia 6AM the next morning, boarding a flight back to Denver. This was the shortest trip I've ever taken, but it left one of the biggest impressions.
I brought a copy of Musical Awakening to NYC, hoping to create some content with it. Little did I know, I'd be too busy living my own Musical Awakening.
The moments. The music. The memories.
That's what life—and Musical Awakening—is all about. ππΆπ
