Friday Try-Day: 3 Ways To Face Your Fashion Fears
So when I heard about Dia&Co's Try-Day Friday I thought this would be the perfect time to push myself to try out some new fashion items!
1. Overalls. When I saw these jewel toned overalls on ModCloth, I just had to try them. They looked great on the model, I'd never worn overalls and I was in love with the fabric and color. BUT I got them in the mail and I was super worried about them. Ocean Eyes took me out for these photos and I was super judgmental of myself. BUT I put a smile on my face and worked my look and I was happy to have tried something new and seasonal! Sometimes just putting on a smile helps!
2. Bright lipstick. Speaking of putting on a smile....I'm a huge fan of lip colors, I have a bunch, but I NEVER wear them! I always look super closely at them to make sure that they aren't smeared. I worry about it getting on my teeth and wearing out as the day goes on. BUT if I just take that little bit of extra time to make sure they look great, I always smile when I'm wearing it. It is such a fun, easy and inexpensive way to brighten up any look!
3. Dangly earrings. I have two piercings in my ears and more often than not, I don't even wear earrings. BUT in this new season of life, I'm wanting to step up my outfit game and make sure I am completely put together. That is where accessories come into play. Dangly earrings are a great way to make your face brighten up and are so easy to just pop in!
In this new season, how are you trying to get out of your fashion box? What new trends are you excited to try? I cannot wait to wear my outfit out for a girls date or a BF date! I'm excited to be pushing myself in all ways of life!

Hi, I’m Megan Elvrum! ☕
I started blogging in 2012.
Somewhere along the way, it turned into something bigger than I expected… a space for rebuilding, growth, and figuring out who you are when everything changes.
Now, all these years later, I’m self-publishing my first novel Musical Awakening.
Thank you for being here! π

"I'm a sucker for epistolary novels, so when I first read about it on Megan's blog I knew I needed to get my hands on a copy. If you're a millennial that spent their teens and 20's in small show venues every weekend then this is the book for you. A very cute story, perfect for a cozy weekend in with a cup of coffee (or tea) :)"

"As someone who also lives in music and feels it deeply this is a story for you! A quick read that took me to a nostalgic time where music and traveling shaped my life and helped me with some of my own self discoveries. I felt right at home reading this book!"
