April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month: How I Help Myself Feel Safe

"Resist, insist, persist, enlist." - Hilary Clinton

Meet Revolar Instinct.

For the first time last year I was living alone. I was alone in two big cities, LA and Denver, dating for the first time. I was taking Lyft's by myself, going on coffee dates and concerts. I tried to remind myself to not be afraid, otherwise I'd never do anything! But I wasn't use to being alone and when I began living alone, I locked my bedroom door every night.

That's why I want to introduce you to the team behind Revolar as they launch their second generation device: Revolar Instinct. I've had the pleasure of working with Revolar two years ago. Right out of my divorce it was one of my first freelance jobs on my own. At the same time...Ocean Eyes was helping develop their logo and branding and I never knew until I met him months later!

Revolar is the world's smallest wearable safety device that uses non-violent methods to keep people feeling safe. It is a hidden personal wearable that allows users to alert loved ones if they feel unsafe or are in danger. Plus the great news is that Revolar only tracks you when you want to be and stops as soon as you let your loved ones know you're safe.

The mission of Revolar is to help people live their lives freely. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and in the United States, 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted by the age of 25. One time I really wish I had Revolar on a date, but I am so thankful I did not be apart of that statistic. If you are or are not, Revolar is for everyone! Dates, exercising, traveling and living alone! I feel safer knowing my chosen contacts are only a quick click away.

Let's help everyone feel safe, wherever they are!

Revolar Instinct is currently available for pre-order on Indiegogo for yourself or a loved one!
