I have a lot of people in my life who I look up to. I am so proud of the people I have chosen to surround myself with in this life. I am also so very thankful that these people chose me back! Everyday I think of their accomplishments, encouragement and love and couldn't be more proud to call them friends and nerd family!

1. Liz Giorgi - Being Geek Chic. What can I say about this woman that I haven't already. Let me repeat myself. This lady has been with me since she sent me one email asking to stay at my house even though we never met before. Of course I said yes! And three years later she was there with me when I made the biggest decision of my life.

She has been one of the best friends of my life. She is who I want to be. She is THE girl boss. Thank you Liz for all of your true love, mentorship and words of wisdom. I love you.

2. Tony Kim - Crazy 4 Comic Con. Tony like Liz has been with The Nerdy Girlie blog since day one. I feel like Crazy 4 Comic Con is like the big brother to The Nerdy Girlie site. Tony has always asked me the tough questions about my blog and it's direction, he's pushed me and made me step outside of my comfort zone. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have sat on my very first SDCC panel. I love you.

We both realize and agree that this photo is horrible and we are both appalled that it is the only one we have together from SDCC two years ago!

3. Joie - Confessions of a Book Pimp. If ever there was a woman more perfectly meant to be my friend at the right time it is Joie. She is so kind, sincere and genuinely cares about me. She lifts me up, she makes me believe in myself. All of these things she finds hard to do for herself and I think it is because she gives it all away to the people she loves. Thank you Joie for our walks, for our talks and for your most sincere friendship. Your words are alway so wise and comforting to me. I love you.

4. Jordandene. GIRL IS A BOSS! She has an amazing talent that I just cannot get enough of! I LOVE her clothing line! Tt is me to a T. We haven't had the pleasure to meet IRL but I am always inspired by her designs and her drive. She is an awesomely successful nerdy girlie and I love her!

5. The Nerdy Girlie team. First and foremost they ARE family. I'm just lucky enough to have them also want to go on this crazy blogging journey with me. They are always there for me no matter what. I always love getting Snapchats from Nerd on the Run, seeing The Gamer Geek grow on Insta and falling in love with a new band because of The Music Maven. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Anyone else want to get out there and hug a nerd?! Me too! I WISH these fantastic people and all of you lived closer! Can we all just build a nerdy apartment complex and move into it together?!

Obviously there are so many more people that I love and inspire me daily. I wish I had time to name them all. Actually they are everyone who follows me on social media...everyone who takes time out of their busy schedule to write meaningful comments on the blog or emails or text messages! I LOVE YOU NERDS and THANK YOU! xx
