Learning To Be A Girl Boss With iBesties

As you all know, it has been a crazy couple of months for me. TONS of life changes and new experiences abound. What you don't know is that it was all set in motion by one job my good friend Liz of Being Geek Chic asked me to work with her on.

I always love working with Liz, she has become my nerd solo mate, an inspiration and continued support in my life. She is the Girl Boss I want to grow up and be. Our Girl Boss weekend started out with some fun, touring LA, then we got to work with her client iBesties.

iBesties is a collection of books, dolls & online "edutainment" that promotes entrepreneurship and technology learning for girls 6-11. Having worked at a pre-school for five years, I find it super important to instill in young girls that they are not just pretty, they are smart and can do anything!

It has taken me 30+ years to realize what I wanted to do with my life and I don't want that for the lil girls in my life that I love. I want them to know from the start that if they have the passion and drive for something, go out there and be that Girl Boss.

With inspirations like Liz and iBesties founders Gina and Jenae, I hope that I can continue to grow as an entrepreneur and become the Girl Boss I am working so hard towards! Thank you Liz and iBesties for a life changing weekend.

iBesties Kickstarter is UP AND RUNNING! Check it out and let's encourage the Girl Boss' of tomorrow today!

Those dolls look so cute! And the idea is the most genius and so important. I'm so happy that the design is that successful looking. Best of luck to the wonderful project <3 <3

Fun!! My daughter is still a bit young for the books, but I love the concept. I'll definitely keep the project in mind!

This is amazing! I too am at a crossroads in life and wish I had things like this as a kid. College doesn't always prepare you for everything in life.
