5 Fandom Friday: New Years Blogging Resolutions

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and holiday season!

I thought that this was going to be one of the harder 5 Fandom Fridays to write.  Then I started writing and I couldn't stop.  I have been sort of neglecting the blog and social media bit ever since SDCC ended and I moved to LA.  I hope that in the new year I can find some inspiration and give all my amazing readers content that they want to read!

Here are the five things I want to work on most:
1.  Promote more.  Like I said above, I've been sort of out it lately.  I feel like I'm kinda stuck.  I hope that the mini break I gave myself this month will pay off and I'll come back in 2015 refreshed and ready to help more people find my blog.

2.  Schedule more social media.  It really isn't a hard thing.  I just started using Buffer for clients and it only takes a few minutes and you are set for a few days!  It takes the guess work out of social media and helps spread out posts that promote your work.  If only I can just remind myself it is only a short amount of time for a nice payout!

3.  Connect with brands.  I've been lazy about this and I think it is time for my blog to do it!  I'm in the middle with readership, not small, not huge, but hopefully I can find some lovely partners and begin to make this blog more of a job and not just a hobby.
4.  Comment on other blogs more.  I usually reserve this for Fridays, but it is time to make more of an effort with my comments.  Especially finding NEW blogs to comment on.  Every lil bit you can get your name out there is a good thing!
5.  Update blog.  I've gradually in the last two years gotten my blog to look more clean and professional, but this is always MORE I want to do.  I have an ever growing list of ideas, I just need the money!

Ok nerds as always I cannot wait to head over to your blogs and read your resolutions.  I'm sure it will make my list a lot longer!  Comment below to add your post links and don't forget to tweet me so I can RT it!!

Megan, how is your bookmark bar so clean?!
Most of these are on my list too. I may try to adopt your networking schedule. It would def help to have some structure!

I think a bit of a break can always be a good thing! Can't wait to see what you bring in 2015!

I find networking to be a tadbit overwhelming-- there just seems so much to do, and I don't know where to start. But your schedule makes it seem so simple. I just might have to adopt it myself!

Hahaha.

Just in cases: I learned this really awesome trick from Quora. If you have sites where the icon is very recognizable save them to your bookmark bar without any text. Saves space. I LOVE it.

I neglected 5FF this week, because I had the last December Daily recap to share, plus my blog is very young. However, I've been so overwhelmed by social media lately, that I decided to slow down along December, I hope to find a new balance for 2015. Buffer is an awesome tool.

I love this link up because not everyone has the same answers and it gives others more ideas and help! Your morning schedule is such a great tool! Here's to an amazing 2015!

I agree with all but after some point I get overwhelmed with promoting on social media.

I like your goals for the new year. I'm trying to branch out more and find new businesses to work with, as well as bloggers to connect with. I'm one of those people that will comment on someone's blog if they comment on mine (every time) but I'm trying to reach new blogs and find more people to talk too (hence how I found your blog- love it, I'm such a nerd too!!).

I get overwhelmed with ideas, and executing them.

But I'm trying to set more of a routine with myself and work now, and am hoping that by the end of this month to have a few of my resolutions in place.

Me too Whitney!! Thank you! xx
