Geek Girls Gab with Roz Of The Dead

Here is another amazing nerdy girlie I could not WAIT to share with you!  I am not sure the exact moment when Roz and I became friends, but I knew she was golden when I saw that her Twitter profile location was Hill Valley 1955!  We mostly chat over on Instagram, where I LOVE to see her beautiful art work!!!  That is why I chose her for the spotlight, an awesome nerdy girlie with AMAZING arty skills!
Ello, im Roz! Im an artist living in the beautiful Bay Area. I doodle and drink coffee everyday, i constantly talk in a british accent, im a huge Simon Pegg fan and i love love love movies! Id love to one day create a stop-motion film, work at an animation studio and have a room dedicated to everything Star Wars.
The Nerdy Girlie:  What is your 1st nerdy memory?
Roz:  Sleeping over my cousins house, watching the Back to the Future trilogy every day, every morning, over and over until bed time. its my favorite film (mostly the first one) in all the lands and i dont ever get tired of it!
TNG:  How and why did you start creating art?  Where do you find your inspiration?
Roz:  As a kid i was super quiet and very shy (i still am), there was so much negativity around me that i turned to cartoons and drawing a lot. Drawing, for me, was always a way to escape from reality. Im always the happiest when im creating. I find inspiration in so many things! Some of them being movies, animation and people who follow their dreams.
TNG:  When and why did you decide to start your own Etsy shop?
Roz:  I think it was around 2011 or 2012.  It actually took me a while to find the courage to show my art to the world but my friends and family really encouraged me.  Art is a huge part of my life and i want it to be my life for as long as i live.  So, creating an Etsy shop has been a pretty big deal to me and im glad i have one!  Its unreal and overwhelming to have so much support from people around the world, its definitely a blessing to me.  knowing that my work is going to be sitting in someones home makes me do more of what i love :)
TNG:  YOUR favorite Etsy shop?
TNG:  What is your favorite thing/things to nerd out about?
Roz:  All things Disney and Pixar (movies/artist). I love living in the Bay Area and being so close to San Francisco and Emeryville. At an event i went to a couple months ago, i got to see Enrico Casarosa in the flesh, the artist/director of the Pixar short, La Luna. I freaked out so bad that i didnt have the guts to go say "hi". haha. But i got to watch him draw, which was good enough for me. I was truly in heaven that night. haha. I also love anything and everything to do with Simon Pegg, Star Wars, The Vampire Diaries, Lord of the Rings, Tim Burton, Seth Macfarlane, The Office and Back to the Future.
TNG:  Girlie things you love?
Roz:  I love anything and everything pink and gold, make-up, floral clothing and SHOPPING!

Make sure you head over to Roz's Instagram and follow all her pretty projects in progress and then head over to her Etsy shop and purchase the prints!!  Find her on Twitter @rozofthedead!
