Geek Girls Brunch LA - The One Up

The fourth meeting of Geek Girl Brunch LA went down on Saturday August 8th! This was only my second time being able to attend {BAD Officer!} and I was feeling kinda down the two days prior, but I am soooooooooooooo glad I went!

We all converged on The One Up bar in Sherman Oaks. Right away I knew this was going to be a great spot. The outside alone had me ready to Instagram the SH*T out of the place! Geek girls began to arrive in their BEST gaming themed attire and we all swooned over each other's outfits.

Once the bar officially opened we took over the gaming section! The One Up has old fashion arcade machines fully loaded with all of your favorite classic games! I dominated on Pac Man and giddily placed my way through one round of the original Donkey Kong.

THEN something grabbed me out of my gaming zone! The bar had THE BEST 80s soundtrack playing THE ENTIRE TIME! What made me fall in love even more with these fantastic women was the fact that they were not shy at belting out these classics with me!

I was super excited to pass out our awesome gift bags! Geeky Glamorous made us these adorable game themed totes, International Geek Girls Pen Pal Club provided postcards, stickers and pencils and I had a ton of the nerdy Cards Against Humanity decks to hand out from Wattpad.

There was also a raffle!!! TWO lovely ladies won t-shirts from Fifth Sun Apparel. They provided the tank that I wore to the brunch and everyone loved! AND Geeks Bearing Gifts provided an adorable inspiring necklace to one lucky winner...pictured above...the sweetest gal Kira!

THEN came the food! OOOHHH the food! Breakfast is everything to me and when I can add to my coffee count I am a happy lady nerd!

This brunch really meant a lot to me. I made some meaningful connections with ladies, met some online friends for the first time in real life and genuinely was happy the entire time. I cannot believe I get to know so many awesome women! Thank you to everyone who came out and I cannot wait for the next one!

Geek Girl Brunch LA Chapter 1st Meeting!

I am so excited to FINALLY announce our very first Geek Girl Brunch LA meetup!

With Wonder Con coming up, the other officers and I thought that would be the PERFECT place to meet.

Join myself, Elle from Your Friend Elle and Emily from Wrong Button Blog on Saturday April 4th at 9:00 a.m. at Denny's {2080 S. Harbor Blvd.} no Wonder Con badge needed!

This is just our very first meet up so please come looking for a way to meet some other awesome nerdy girls and eat some yummy breakfast before the con day!

The other officers and I have been chatting about future events and we cannot wait to share them with you. We have some fun stuff ahead!
