This weekend I was lucky enough to get a press pass {my very first!} to San Diego Comic Fest. Both The Hunny and I attend last year. This year I went alone and had a great time, checking out the floor, fun cafe and an awesome panel.
This is a very small convention, but has a lot of heart. The people there are all super friendly and helpful. There are tons of comics and collectibles to choose from. I was happy to see Little Vampires creator Rebecca Hicks there. My very first SDCC I got one of her adorable vampire pins and have been hooked ever since. Last year's Comic Fest I got a print for my desk and this year I finally got her coffee mug and a stuffed little vampire. We even had a fun conversation about Sherlock!
I also was happy to see con regular James Morris. He was there promoting his new book Water Tower {review and giveaway to come!}.

The Town and Country Hotel, where San Diego Comic Fest is held is amazing. It is such a gorgeous place to walk around and every where you look is beautiful!
My final stop of the day was a panel hosted by James Morris featuring Clayton Moore, Delores Fisher and Stephen Potts entitled It's the End of the World As We Know It. This was my favorite part of the day. The hour long panel talked about literature and films depicting the end of life as we know it on Earth. I came out of it with lots of new things to read and watch. It is panels like this that make me MISS being in school. I loved taking notes and listening to their thoughts on a subject I love! If I could attend more of these types of talks I would.
