GIVEAWAY from Plant Haus Necklaces! {CLOSED}

I can never say it enough, but I have found the best people through my blog and social media.

One year ago I found a really awesome account called @plant_haus. Her necklaces and feed were beautiful. I followed her and liked her and stalked her! LOL

Then a few months ago one of my BFFs met her IRL and they became friends.

THEN I went to said BFF's house for brunch one night and guess who was there? Jasmine from Plant Haus! I was so excited I talked her ear off all night and asked her all the questions about her necklaces. It was that day that she said she would make me a custom piece of my choosing! I was so excited to finally have my own! It had been a year in the making.

But even better than her necklaces being gorgeous, is how gorgeous Jasmine is inside and out. Jasmine is kind, funny and one of the most genuine and friendly people I've had the pleasure of meeting here in Denver. Sadly she is moving at the end of the month BUT it so she can step out of her comfort zone and grow her jewelry business! Which I am defiantly all for!
After a year wait I am so happy to have my own piece of Jasmine's jewelry and to call her friend! The day she brought me my necklace all wrapped up, we had coffee and chatted like old friends. When I told her about my book, 100 Cups of Coffee she immediately wanted to help out!

SO we are doing a giveaway together! YOU can win one of Jasmine's beautiful one of a kind necklaces for you or your Valentine! Plant Haus necklaces are one of a kind. Jasmine hand picks all of her flowers in the wilds of Colorado. All necklaces are made completely by hand and are one of a kind!
All you have to do to enter is:

1. Follow @thenerdygirlie and @plant_haus on Instagram.
2. Share your favorite #100cupsofcoffee photo on Instagram. Get creative with those cups!
3. Tag #planthausgiveaway

Jasmine and I will be picking our favorite #100cupsofcoffee photo to win a one of a kind Plant Haus Designs necklace in one week {giveaway ends on February 8th at 7pm MST. Open to U.S. residents only}!

My 8 Photos Of Happiness

B of You Fancy Me Mad tagged me to take part in 8 Photos Of Happiness started by Ariel. I’ve been super focused lately on self happiness and the things that make me stay positive in a difficult situation. So when B tagged me, I couldn’t feel like anything could be more perfect to share at this moment.

Photography has been the cornerstone of my life for as far back as I can remember. Instagram is like my baby. I LOVE expressing myself through photos. I always enjoy scrolling through my photo albums. I do it all the time. Looking back on past happiness reminds me to stay happy in the now.
1.  Ballet - When one of my good friends invited me to do something I've dreamed of my entire life...my first thought was...I'm too old! She convinced me otherwise and I've been working on believing that ever since. My very first ballet class was in April of 2012 and my very first pointe class was February 2013. When I moved to LA I stopped. Then YESTERDAY after a year, I finally went back. It felt amazing. The class kicked my butt for an hour and a half and we even had a LIVE pianist! I about cried. I am SO happy to be back and I loved that I felt it a bit this morning because I pushed myself so hard yesterday!
2.  Breakfast - I was never a morning person until I started my blog. I've always been a breakfast person though. Now I really enjoy getting up early and taking myself out to breakfast. I had this fabulous meal just the other day. It's so peaceful in the morning and mind clearing. I like being able to take it slow. But basically breakfast could be every meal of my day...just saying! Also #100cupsofcoffee!
3.  The Beach - Another peaceful place for me. I could literally sit on the sand all day. With or without music. The view, silence or the music are all inspiring to me. You'd think I'd be there all the time living in LA. But sadly I'm not. I think I need to change that quickly.
4.  Music - Music has always been important to me. Since as far back as I can remember it has been in my life. The first song ever I remember hearing was Need You Tonight by INXS. So you can safely assume 80s music was and is one of my faves. 90s, 00s and now. A Silent Film, The Filthy Souls. I am so lucky to live in a town where I can get my fill of music on the daily.
5.  My tattoo - I don't remember when I said I wanted a tattoo or that it was to be the Deathly Hallows. I do remember Harry Potter being my gateway into nerdom. I was already in love with aliens, Jurassic Park and Star Wars, but Harry Potter pushed me over the edge. I went to midnight showings and book releases. I read them with friends and cried when it was all over. Having a visual piece of that love with me at all times is joyful.
6.  Pie - I always remember pie being in my life. Many years I would ask for an apple pie for my birthday instead of a cake. When I discovered Republic of Pie in LA, it became like a second home and opened my eyes to other pies. I love hanging out there, I love writing there and I LOVE taking my favorite people there.
7.  Walks - Another place I like to go for escapism. I retreat into my music and into the "wild." Being a blogger you are inside a majority of the time starting at a screen. I LOVE blogging, but it is also nice to look at the real world too. Things always seem more clear after a great walk.
8.  Pumpkin Season - PUMPKIN SEASON IS COMING! September is almost here and everything pumpkin is right around the corner! I cannot wait to eat everything pumpkin, smell it all and see all the orange! I love the change in the season, Autumn is the best. My favorite pumpkin thing? Pumpkin chai latte!

Now join along with me in 8 photos of happiness! What do you need to do? Let me tell you:

  • Thank your nominator/s and link them in your post.
