The Shorty Awards are in their 6th year of presenting awards for the best in social media. Past winners include Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and NYC Mayor Bloomburg. But with awards like "selfie" of the year, fake account, Instagramer and Vineographer, The Shorty Awards are THE award show for our generation.
I am so happy to say that one of my very favorite nerdy girlies @elshannahb gave me my very first nomination. In just one evening so many of the wonderful nerds I have met online have tweeted me THEIR nominations and support.

It is so easy for me to sit alone at home and create content. I love it. But the icing on the cake is that my words help other people. The cherry on top is that I get to meet and chat with amazing nerds online and at cons who share the same LOVE of fandoms that I do. This past year of blogging/cons/life have made me into my real self.
So with that I thank you again and always for your continued love, support and kind words that mean more than I could ever say!
