San Diego in the Summer is a fickle beast. The EARLY morning lineup could be cold. Afternoon lines are HOT. Then evening strolls will be cold again with the breeze off the ocean. Lines inside the Convention Center also tend to be on the cool side with the AC. Here I give you my tips on what to wear in and around San Diego Comic Con!
{Basics for SDCC}
- Sunscreen. The sun is hotter than you think. If you are coming from out of town defiantly pack on the sunscreen. Hats are good also good for shade and sharing your fandom.
- Sunglasses. It gets bright out under the San Diego sun. Plus sunglasses are cool! They are my favorite accessory!
- A light coat/sweater. Sitting in panels and lines inside gets cool as well as your walk home at night.
- Badge. This is the MOST important thing to wear at the con. Wear it all times or you will get the boot! If you do lose your badge, you can get it reprinted for a fee. DON'T lose your badge!
- Comfy shoes are a must, you are on your feet ALL day and possibly night. My favorites are Brooks, Superga and Adidas Stan Smith. Bring at least two pairs to switch off everyday.
{SDCC During The Day}
Check out my favorites nerd tee outlets below. I'm big on length and fit so those are factored into my choices. I like the sleeves not too short and the length near my hips. It is now easier than ever to find cute nerdy AND girlie ways to express your fandom. Keep an eye out in everyday shopping for your Hogwarts house colors. An awesome Sherlock trench. I love to shop at vintage shops and Goodwill. Another great place? Target. Gets me every time!

Last but not least, get unique! I had a dress made two years in a row out of the famous San Diego Comic Con bags! I can't sew myself, but with the help of my friend, we created two great pieces! But be sure to plan ahead on these types of projects!
