#CANTCLUTCHTHIS September: An Egg-cellent Adventure in Arizona

This past weekend, I had my very first work travel trip! I traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to photograph an event and some corporate head shots. Boy was the weather a change from what I had been getting use to in Denver! The event went perfectly and I even got to see and photograph a Styx performance! But that's not it....

Ocean Eyes was able to meet me in Phoenix and we were able to have a mini vacation after my work on Thursday.

Mostly it was a time for us to just vedge out and relax away from home. But I did find us some fun and colorful spots to check out!
First off the Saguaro Hotel in Scottsdale! I had visited the one in Palm Springs before and it is such a fun space. LOTS of colors, hidden gems to photograph and places to relax. Ocean Eyes was the best boyfriend and took lots of fun pictures of me.
He even had a chance to lay back and relax in this gorgeous space. Palm trees and these Bougainvillea are my favorite plants. So if there are some around to photograph, you can bet I'm going to stop and do so!
Second stop? This YUMMY and completely Instagramable bakery called Ruze Cake House in Downtown Scottsdale. I got us the Strawberry Lemonade Boba and a box of Macaroons with flavors like Churro, Cookie Butter, Birthday Cake, Pumpkin Spice and Animal Cracker. Every single one was delicate and delicious!

We finished each day at home cuddled up on the couch Netflixing Breaking Bad. I am watching it for the second time and Ocean Eyes is for the.....th time?!
We only had two days, but that was more than enough. Day two started with brunch followed by thrifting. I love getting a mug in each place I visit, but that can get expensive. Luckily I found the ONLY Arizona mug in the Goodwill we visited AND it was only .36 cents! I'll share it on my @100cupsof.coffee Instagram!

Now we are back in Denver and it's snowing! Can you believe it?! It was nice to have a cozy day to reflect on such a wonderful weekend! NOW to start thinking about holiday gifts!

Do you nerds ever have to travel for work?! It was a LONG day my flight was at 6:30AM and I didn't wrap that day until 10:30PM! But it was all worth it in the end! Share your work adventures down below!

And as always check out Studio DIY's Can't Clutch This subscription box! I can't say it enough! I just LOVE getting a little treat in the mail each month! #notanad
