Let's Rock, Let's Rock Today or Cold War Kids Bring Down The House

I have been wanting to see Cold War Kids perform live ever since The Music Maven gave me their vinyl Mine Is Yours for my birthday a couple years ago.  I love every song off of that album and Skip the Charades is one of my all time favorite songs.

When I found out my long time friend Erin would be visiting from Pennsylvania the week of the show, I knew I had take her.  CWK performed at The Observatory in Santa Ana on Tuesday November 19th to a sold out crowd.

I have been to The Observatory's Constellation Room many times but never in the big room and have never had a hard time parking there.  That night was a whole new ball game and I was glad to see such an amazing turn out for such an amazing band who gives you a complete experience at their show.
I was so happy to acquire a photo pass to the show and was able to shoot the first three songs.  Of course one of them had to be one of my favorites Miracle Mile and I found it hard to not rock out!  CWK came out swinging right away and kept the energy and crowd hyped all night, almost two hours!

As a new fan to CWK I only knew three songs they played that night, but I loved everything I heard.  I love how much camaraderie they all have on stage and how much genuine emotion and love they give to their fans, who know every word of their songs and sing a long loudly.  Now that is what I call band love and it warms this music nerd's heart so see.
If you haven't already check them out.  The Music Maven just wrote up a review of their new album Hold My Home, which came out on October 21st.  You can check them out on tour until March 2015!
