The Importance of Best Friends

This weekend was not what I planned. Usually Friday night is chill night. Saturday is a relaxing day, and maybe a day outing and then Sunday is chores and meal prep. On my drive home from work Friday night, my bestie in Seattle, Steph called to said she would be flying out to visit on Saturday!!! I was so excited and surprised, I had to update my weekend calendar!

I had my half marathon on Saturday morning, so Friday I was in full prep mode for Steph's visit and my half marathon! Laundry, cleaning, dinner, laying out everything for the race in the morning (including my breakfast!) LOL.

If you can't tell I'm a HUGE planner. I live by my lists and Google Calendar! So even though this visit was a surprise, I made sure she would have a great visit. Plus she did the service of getting me out of my boring routine!

The half marathon went amazing (read about it HERE) and I was able to rest Saturday before Steph's arrival. Sunday, I had my first ballet class in four years (more on that soon!), I was able to hit up the store before spending the day with Steph. We caught up while I meal prepped my weekly lunches and when hungry hit, we took advantage of the GORG Denver day and hit up a roof top for lunch and I made her model for me a bit as well!
Sunday night was our 3rd Amiga's big night! She opened her second business Soona on South Broadway in Denver and we all went over to celebrate the amazing accomplishment! It was so fun to get out of my routine of running and chores, get dressed up and celebrate together. Just being together after our last girls trip together in January was the best part. It was like not a day had past.

I'm so thankful for these ladies who are supportive, willing to go the extra mile and push me when needed. Even if it's not on the calendar!

Do you have friends like this? I don't think you need many. A few amazing ones really help with the highs and lows of life. Share with me how you celebrate the amazing people in you life...big or small!
