5 Fandom Friday: 5 Ways I'm Going To Take Chances In 2016

Are you NEW to 5 Fandom Friday? Welcome and come join along! 5 Fandom Friday was created by myself and Super Space Chick in October of 2014, as a way to get all of our blogger friends keeping on task each week, building a community with our fellow bloggers and connecting with new and old friends once a week! We choose the topics, you do the writing! Let's get inspired together!
2015 was the biggest year of taking chances for me. 2016 is going to be even bigger. I cannot wait to push myself more than ever, to take more adventures and to enjoy me.
1. I’m moving to Denver. I never thought I would do that. I’ve been traveling to Colorado off an on my entire life. It is where my The Nerdy Girlie team lives. My best friend lives and now me. By next Saturday I will be officially a resident of Colorado. I never thought I wanted to leave LA. I love LA. I always will. But Denver is a fresh start. A leap of faith. A fresh start. I’m finally ready for it!
2. I’m going to finish my very first book: 100 Cups Of Coffee. When I left LA at the end of November, it was to detox from the crazy town that had the wrong hold on me. I was stuck in a rut and I needed to open my eyes. I wanted to finish my book in 2015. I didn’t. BUT I did find out how it will end this chapter of my life. I have almost all of the photos. I’ve written 90% of it and sent it off to my editor. So 2016 will see me finishing something I cannot believe I ever dreamed up. I am so excited to share it with the world!
3. I’m going to finally develop my photography business. I’ve been a professional photographer for ten years and I still don’t have a legit business. In the beginning days of this year, I updated my website {which still needs more work}, Facebook page, developed an ad for Craig’s List, created an Instagram account and changed the name. It felt right. It feels like a fresh start. I am now Meg Jen Photography. I want to hit the ground running when I return to Denver.
4. I’m going to finally be totally alone with myself in my very first place. I just took The Music Maven and The Gamer Geek to visit my very first apartment. I’ll live alone for the very first time in my life. I’m ecstatic, scared out of my mind and blissfully happy. I cannot wait to create a home that I love to be in, that I want to share with my friends and a place I can feel safe and alone with all of my favorite memories.
5. I’m going to wait for love. In 2015 I was searching for love. Scouring every corner of LA for it. I found all different types. Ones that I’m grateful for and that I’ll keep with me forever. But now I slow down. I do all the things above and let love fine me. Most importantly I begin to love myself and my life and let the right love and person find me in my new and improved state.

Are these 5 Fandoms intense or what nerds? I am so happy to be writing and sharing these things with you. With myself. Showing myself how much I’ve grown throughout 2015. Thank you for sticking with me! I cannot wait to read yours! Share them in the comments below and tag me on Twitter for a RT!

Waiting for love is the best thing that you can do! Once you love yourself things tend to just fall into place and someone always comes around when you least expect it<3

Good luck with your goals, especially with the book! How cool is that?? One of my best friends lives in Denver, I'm so jealous you're going to live there now! :)

Living along will be great for you! It was one of my requirements when I first moved out of my home state. For me, I wanted to make sure I knew I could always make it on my own. No matter what happens, I want to know I can be by myself, pay rent and make it happen. I live with my boyfriend now, but that year living with my own place was priceless.
